I have a cocker with a champion sire and dam, whose papers I never changed over into my name from the breeders.. what was the point, I spayed her. I didn't plan on showing her, she wasn't going to do agility, or obedience (heck I can't even housebreak her and she's seven! lol) Really there isn't much point in sending them in unless you plan to breed him, show him, or you just want the pedigree, which you could actually research online at the AKC website by using the sire and dam's registration numbers for $10 each for a 5 generation pedigree on each if you really wanted to know. Or you could just ask the breeder for one...she should have a copy of the pedigree if she is a good breeder.
