BYBers come in all shapes and forms. They breed in larger numbers or smaller numbers. Not all the conceptions happen in the backyard. Some in the kitchen, some in the barn; heck, some right in front of the neighbors in the living room. I personally divide breeders into several groups in my mind and tick each one off when I talk with someone. I can just about look at a puppy and tell the quality of the breeder. Now, every breeder has a clunker sometimes-too large, too small, too leggy, roach back, bad bite..these babies make perfectly wonderful pets and should be placed with the proper families..I cannot tell you the joy I feel when I have been able to match a puppy with its perfect mom and family. I do not feel sad when I don't let a baby go. I have been accused of being discriminating against aged or working families. I know what is best for my baby and no amount of money can buy a puppy from me if I do not approve of you. By the same token, they should not buy from me if they do not find a good fit..I simply want the best placement for my babies and I consider myself the best judge of that. I will try to help you find a puppy that might be a good match, but don't always count on that... |
