I just have kaylee..she'll be 1 this march & my sister n law has just had another litter of 6 last monday but the runt passed due to some internal issues. She told my husband and he is some what against it. He thinks that it's a bad idea, but I think it would be nice for her to have someone to play with/little buddy.

What age do you think is best to get another yorkie? What sex is best to get; the same, or a male?, AND , do females get along good enough even if you get them both fixed?

Hope to hear some answers soon, thank you .

Hope everyone had a good Christmas/New Years!

I'm not clear why your husband is somewhat against it. Is it because of one pup that died of some unidentified internal issues? Or is it because he doesnt' want a second dog?

Getting a second dog has so many variables to it. Can you financially and emotionally, and physically support the lifelong care of another dog?

Not to put too obvious a point to this; you and your husband are a team, the decision to get or not to get a second dog, needs to be something you are both on board with. That is a first and foremost before what age to get another pup is.
