Well, a trainer can be a fantastic dog trainer and not know about specific dog breed health problems. Sure, they can know some things, but trainers are trainers and not vets for a reason.
So, in general, I don't expect trainers to be knowledgeable about health. But it's messed up when they don't listen to people who DO know!
