I've never had a female dog in heat before. Is my Claire suppose to keep licking herself and scooting on her bottom, she seems nervous to and jumpy and whiney is that normal? I put on a dog diaper and she had a fit chewing and crying trying to get at herself so I had to take it off did anyone else dog act like that? I only letting her go through the heat in hopes of it helping with her inset vulva dropping down on my vets advise I will never breed a dog she's going to be fixed after this. She is bleeding now and swollen but it is a puffy ring of skin surrounding the vulva. The skin on the back half towards the tail side has even split open. She has an appointment on Monday so my vet can look her over again.
