I sympathize for sure. When we rescued our first Yorkie, Snookie, he was truly a LAP dog. I mean, if he wasn't on a lap, he whined. The first night, I told my husband, this is going to be tough, but we will survive. We put him in his sleeping kennel and spent 3 sleepless nights in a row. The 4th night, he was quiet. Eventually, he worked his way into our bed, but those first three nights were difficult. Sometimes, you just need a little "tough" love. They do learn, if you can outlast them!
