I think some people think breeding=free puppy. They have no clue about how much it could potentially cost them. My mom has a neighbor with a 3 pounder. She stopped me one day and asked me if I would be interested in having Rhett breed with her dog because she liked the looks of him. Now, keep in mind that Rhett weighed in at 10 pounds at 6 months. The first time she asked, I gave her the same "your girl is too small to breed" advice (she told me the vet said her girl was healthy and would do fine). The second time she asked, I got a little more indignant and told her that her bitch wasn't good enough for my boy
. She hasn't asked again.
