Hope I can explain this because it's simple.

My picture photo program allows me to E-mail any of my photos.

So - I pick and photo and send it to E-mail --- when I do this, my program automatically resizes it.

Then from the E-mail --- I just drag the attachment file to the desktop.

Then I exit the E-mail program (wasn't going to E-mail it anyway).

Now - when I want to get the photo -- I just "browse" to the desktop and get it (and it has been resized).
