Prayer is deffff the most important thing. I say the prayer I sent you everynight for little Rikki & her family. God Bless that whole family. I just hope they stay strong & dont give up hope.

Lauren,

I understand the temptation, too, and I do hope and pray they find it in their hearts to return Rikki to her Mommy & Daddy.

"Just a dog" is my pet peeve, too! My girls are my children. And they have all of the feelings of children.

A number of years ago, a friend of ours found a dog that was dumped. The dog became so attached to our friend. I believe she was just so grateful that he saved her and gave her all the love in his heart. She followed him everywhere. Followed him when he plowed. However, his wife, did not like this medium size dog in their home, felt she was too big, knocking things over with her tail, etc.

So, she convinced him to let her brother and his wife take her. Every time they visited her brother, the dog was so incredibly happy to see our friend, no one else got her attention. She laid on his chest and stayed there.

His wife regretted her decision and asked her sister-in-law if they could have her back, and would you believe, she said, "No"? I was stunned, that anyone could care so little for a dogs feelings. She saw how the dog responded to her brother-in-law.

No, Rikki's family won't ever give up on her. Sandra has so paid for so lost dog service contracts, and an amber alert for dogs, and they send out 3,000-5,000 flyer's every week.

But when it snows, Sandra looks at the snow, depressed, and goes to bed.
I pray for her, as much as I pray for Rikki.

Today, it has been 4 weeks since Rikki was spotted at the two different church's.

The Pastors of both of those church's saw her, in the snow, and left her there, this tiny, helpless little dog. Makes me have 2nd thoughts about organized religion.

Yet, I attend mass every morning, praying for Rikki to be returned.

Love,
Sheila
