When my puppy starts one of his biting frenzies (which isn't too often), I just don't let him around me. I usually take one of his toys and throw it out into the middle of the room and spend a little time letting him get it and bring it back for me to throw again. Also - sometimes I decide that this is a good time to feed him something. I just find something else for him to do rather than chew on me. Also I have a blanket on my sofa - and I will even resort to putting my arms under the blanket so that he can't bite me.
One way or another - I don't let him bite me. Usually, I find something else for him to do instead.
Because I know he is going to outgrow this -- I don't think of it as a major long-term problem.
