Default 15 week old, peeing on toys and in his bed

Our adorable 15 week old Yorkie is anything but cute right now. Loki has been a pistol the past week and I am not sure what the problem is...other than he is still a puppy?!

We got Loki when he was 7 weeks old and since have had no problems in potty training, of course there have been the normal "accidents". Normally he is in the kitchen area with a pee pad, food, water, toys and his kennel. We do allow him to have free reign of the kitchen, while I am gone all day. This is not my problem. My problem started this week, but first lets back up three weeks. My boyfriend who usually works out of town during the week was home for the past three weeks. He went back to work on Monday as did I. Monday night I get home to find Loki's pee pad in the middle of the floor (upside down mind you) with pee on the non absorbent side (this is a normal everyday occurance). A toy on the top of it that had been peed on and two poos (one where the pee pad "should" have been, and the other across the room, not really worried about that). After cleaning up the mess I put down a new pee pad and had him come to me. Instead of coming to me he ran into his kennel and peed on another one of his toys while looking right at me. Later in the night we are playing and he started circling, so I picked him up and took him to his pee pad, told him to "Potty" and he ran off of it, into the back room and jumped into his little bed we have sitting by the window. Looked up at me and peed while looking me in the eye, this happened twice that night. So I ended up cleaning both toys, his stairs cover (he peed there too, previously apparently) and his bed twice. I chalked it up to him being mad that he was home by himself during the day and was being spiteful. Mind you, he was reprimanded each time but by me saying "NO" and taking him to his pee pad, it doesn't seem to make a difference.

This has went on all week. Including peeing on the floor in the backroom numerous times. Yesterday we had no problems...until I got home from work, then we were peeing EVERYWHERE! And today he peed in his bed again. Am I not an authority figure to him?

Please note: this bed is not his actual bed, he has a kennel upstairs! This bed is for his comfort while downstairs and is different from his kennel downstairs as well.

So additional thoughts:
1.) This bedding belonged to our 10 year old yorkie that we put down in August...could he still smell him even though it has been washed and is trying to mark it?
2.) Is he trying to determine who the Alpha is in the house?
3.) He has been doing GREAT up until this week
4.) I am aware he is a puppy and not fully trained, are we in a regression stage?

Any help or insight would be wonderful. He is a fun guy, I just wish he were doing better at this training thing, I am running out of paper towels and spray from cleaning up so many messes! ha!
