I wouldn't think it would hurt your Yorkie to interrupt her sleep. One thing that has always marveled me about dogs is that they can go from a dead sleep to being ready to run out and play in a split second.

Also - she should be getting used to not being able to sleep very long on your lap. So - she knows what she's getting into.

I do the same with mine if he's sleeping right on top of me. He usually just stretches and goes back to sleep wherever I put him. But, this is because he is a little pup. I'm already noticing that he is beginning to sleep less.
