I was playing tennis with a friend. I tethered Knox, my male 4lb yorkie, inside the court, where he plays with tennis balls. I looked over, and he was whining and rolling around. He had irritated a mound of fire ants on the edge of the fence and was totally covered by the time I got to him. I threw him in a mud puddle and raked them off. Then I raced home and soaked him in the tub for half an hour. The next day he was covered in little scabs, but they didn't seem to bother him. It all cleared up in about a week. He handled it a lot better than I would have. I suspect your baby will be okay.
