Oh he's a beautiful puppy! And you are a very handsome couple. I think it's wonderful that your husband is so understanding about the antiques. I bought a chair that had tooth marks in it myself and the dealer was so apologetic - I told my cousin, "heck, it's an antique, it's supposed to look like it's been used and enjoyed!". If you want the pristine stuff - go for the repros! Right?
