I would avoid litter, I can imagine it getting stuck in his fur and getting dragged all around my house. And I can see how it would appeal to them to eat, since I can't keep Rizzo out of the kitty litter box so that room has to be gated off at all times. Silly puppies, I recommend potty pads or the uGodog system as mentioned above, easy clean up and few messes. I'm luck with Rizzo he has a very reliable poo system, once in the morning when I let him out and once in the evening when he goes out. No poo messes for the last 4 months!
