Hello, my yorkie is 12.4lbs boy and my girl is 11.2lbs. We just had a litter of puppies almost 5 weeks ago and I know that they were born with long tails. It is a preference as per the vet to have their tails docked and the claw out or not. Both, of my yorkies have short tail and I have seen many with long tails. I am new to this as my Kalix is the boy is the 12.4 lbs I raised since 8wks and he was only suppose to be no more than 5lbs. So I guess anything can happen. I just love him to death and he and my girl Lexi we rescued as well last Oct and is a ball of fun. This was my first dog ever in my life. I always wanted a little yorkie, but I would not trade either of my babies in, the bigger they are the more fun and rough housing you can do with them. I was not prepared to take on another dog either, but I know she had a rough 2 yrs in a cage filled with nasty and it's sad. She is the most loving dog and has had all the love and care she could ask for and they sure appreciate it and express their love.
