Looks like Mabel is getting close to where the hair will lay down. Every day, comb and train the hair to go down the sides of the snout, rather than stick straight back from the nose into the eyes. After baths, comb the hair in the correct direction so that it doesn't dry sticking into the eyes. Be sure to not point the blow dryer in the wrong direction, up the snout.

In the first picture of Max in his bed (looking very mischievous), he is 8 months old. I had cut his bangs at 5 months old when I thought I was going to keep in a puppy cut. His mustache is still sticking up a little into his eyes.
