They go absolutely insane when the FedEX man comes to the door and if the Fed Ex man quiety comes up to the door he is required to ring my door bell and of course all heck breaks out. I have asked him not to ring the door but usually the dogs hears the truck and they are ready for him. I am going to disconnect my door bell but usually the only thing that works for me if to make a loud noise and all of them but one stops barking. Of course it is a female who has to have the last word, word, word, word, word...okay you get it, she keeps on going.
I wish I had good advise for you but I don't as I am working with a pack rather than one so it is different. On the other hand I feel perfectly safe in my house and I know no one is going to come into my house without being announced so I take comfort in that.
