I am so sorry you have to deal with this. I lost my Cocker Spaniel in Oct 2009 to I'm not sure what and the vets couldn't figure it out either.
It looks like you have some good suggestions. Homecooked food(moist), the Hylands children's cough meds, the fan, the teaching hospital...etc. I hope this helps your little girl and eases her symptoms.
