Just one more thing, when he does eat, he grabs a few pieces of the food in his mouth and walks into where we are at and drops it on the floor then eats one little bity bite at a time, and then goes back for more and does this until he gets his fill. Could this possibly be due to neglect or abuse? As you know, I don't knwo anything about the background about this dog. And although he's friendly in everyway, if he's protective about his food or apprehensive about being watched or snuck up on I may need to do some further training and things with him. The smallest dog I have ever owned previous to Harley was a 75 lb Chow/Lab mix. So any help with small dogs, no matter the breed, would be very helpful.
That does it! He's definitely a yorkie! A lot of them do this.
