Default Bully Sticks & Bloody Diarrhea

I just got back from the vet with Sioux (almost 2)...she had bloody diarrhea (bright red) and I didn't want to risk it. She is our nervous girl, and was shaking when we got to the vet. She had a temp of 103.5 and when they did a fecal the vet saw blood. They are doing a culture and put Sioux and Dakota on a dewormer, Flagyl, and Sioux is on an antibiotic due to the blood and fever. The vet mentioned checking for hookworm, but she thinks it was caused by Sioux eating a few bully sticks at my brother's house. The vet said she has seen more than a few cases of bloody diarrhea from bully sticks. Anyone have any experience? She is not dehydrated, and they gave all meds before we left. She is now pretty chillaxed, but before we went she was more energetic. It could be a side effect of the meds, or she was just stressed. Any help is appreciated...
