this is correct- they removed the alcohol for the pet version to make it safer- I personally wouldn't give the human remedy to my pets.
I did use the pet version for Armani when I flew with him, I started the morning before the trip giving him 4 drops, 3 times per day, ensuring that one of the doses was right before the flight.
It didn't over medicate him in any way but did relax him enough during the flight that he didn't bark or whine at all.
