I think you need to make sure you have lot's of love and time for any new pet.
Reading as much as you can to understand their needs is a must, as all pets are different. Yorkies are very special, and yes they do have special needs. We have
three furbabies, all different breeds, and they are very different. We also have four different breeds of birds. They all have different needs as well. As long as you know what their needs are, I think it would be great. It takes much more then a pet here and a hug there to make a special pet happy. One last thing, I think if someone gets a Yorkie, they should join YT, you learn a lot on this site,
and make lots of on-line friends too.
