I frankly find that dog disgusting. So sickly and unhealthy looking.
Why on earth anyone would purposely seek out or breed a dog under 3lbs just baffles my mind. Why not just get a hamster, or a guinea pig (who is actually probably bigger than 3lbs). I mean, seriously. The dog is basically going to have to live in a 'cage' all of its life anyways, and by that I mean being sheltered from a normal world.
I'm not for anyone purposely breeding for these small dogs. I even wish the Yorkie standard would be raised to 10lbs so we wouldn't see so many of the tinies. It's unfair really. A 2lb dog does NOT get to live a normal dog life and I think that's unfair. I understand things happen and sometimes a breeder will get a small dog, but responsible breeders will usually keep them, or find a super safe responsible home for them.
It just makes me so sad that we as HUMANS did this to these dogs... they didn't choose to be that tiny, and had they had a choice, I'm sure they would opt to be a little bigger. A 6-7lb dog is still VERY small... but they are still atleast sturdier and more able than a 2-3lb dog.
