 Night Time Barking
My Yorkie Charlie (female) has a nasty habit of waking up at night then barking and growling. She is doing it 4-5 times a night. She sleeps in bed with me, but will bark and growl whether she is in bed or her crate. Sometimes it takes several minutes to calm her down.
I think that she is barking in response to hearing a neighbor's dog bark outside. I hear the dog barking about 1/2 the time Charlie is up barking.
No amount of saying No or trying to be nice about it seems to make a difference, she just keeps waking up and barking. She's a little over 1 year old and does bark otherwise unless she wants to play.
