Here's the update so far...
Duke has been trained on the pad, I just added the tray with 3 panels for the sides which requires him to step onto the tray and uses the pad like he usually does.
He went on it once last night while I sat next to the pad and once again this morning, otherwise he chose to go only if the pad is on the floor like how it has always been. He stepped onto the tray ok if I have a treat and lead him to it. I think he'll need more time to get use to the idea of going on there.
Day 2 of the training here we go...
