I can't sleep, 4:20 am here and in a little less than 6 hours I have to have my son at the hospital for his shoulder surgery. It is a double surgery to repair two football injuries. He plays college football in Jackson, MS. His first year was pretty rough. He broke his right wrist during practice and had to have that in a cast for 6 weeks, that stopped his Wide Receiver job. The cast came off and the very next weekend, he played D-Back in a game and took on two guys at once. Flattened one, stopped the other but separated his shoulder and completely tore the labrum (shoulder cartilage). The first doc only found the separated shoulder which was obvious & actually dx'ed on the field. He was doing a wait & watch. But the pain never went away since Oct 30th. So, when he came home on Christmas break I took him to our Orthopedic doc who did the MRI & found the torn labrum. That brings us to tomorrow/actually later this morning, when he will have the surgery to repair both problems.
I would greatly appreciate any prayers and/or good wishes you all could offer. We have a great ortho doc and I am sure he will do fine. I
believe in the power of prayer though, and KNOW it will help to make his recovery smoother and faster. He starts classes Jan 10th. So, I'll have to drive him back up there. He will be in a sling for 6 more weeks. I'm hoping he can find a pretty girl to help carry his books.

Thanks in advance!
