I can sure relate to cowgirlc, Having Scooter and Sadie is the best thing that has ever happened to me but yes they are expensive.
I have spent well over 1,000 dollars just for the vet in the three months I have had them both. Scooter came to me with Fleas, kennel cough and no shots. Sadie came to me needing shots and having fleas. Toys, beds, clothes, harnessess, leashes, food and treats and I am sure I am forgetting things. Like cowgirlc the dogs will go to the vet before DH and I go to the doc. When I brought them home from the vet the last time with the round worm DH said oh well I was gonna take you out to eat but I guess not now. We give up a lot for our fur babies but we feel it is well worth it.
