Have any of you had puppies with extremely thin hair? Did it get thicker with time?

Also - I don't care what color his hair is, but within the last week or two, he has started growing white/silver roots all over (body, sides, belly, etc). This seems to be replacing his black hair.

And the black on his face is being replaced with a light tan.

And - I think he may have a cotton coat, but have never had a Yorkie before, so can't be sure. His hair is thin - seemingly straight - but is very soft and does seem to matte near the roots. His hair is also very oily.

I think that what I am going to have to do is wait and see what happens in the next six months or so.

Fun fun fun!!! And in spite of his funny little coat of hair, he is as cute as he can be.

**** I remember my little PooPom went through a puppy stage where her hair looked terrible -- but became very nice after that. Do Yorkies go though a stage like this?

My libby is 9 weeks old and she has very thin hair too. i even posted about it a week or so ago. She's not fluffy at all. I think she may be a silky coat too.
Not as cute but she's still so precious.
