Hi. I am new to the yorkie talk site. I have two yorktese (or morkies) who are 5 1/2 and 1 1/2. My younger one is a male named Rocco who we just found out has a liver shunt. He went through all of the tests at Ohio State veterinary hospital the last week of December, and they all point to a liver shunt. He is scheduled to have surgery Jan. 24. I am very worried about him. Right now he is on Science Prescription diet L/D, lactulose and neomycin until he has surgery.
If anyone has a yorkie who has or has had a liver shunt, I would love to hear from you.
