His blood sugar dropped overnight. I'm not sure what's in the dextrose solution your vet gave you but you may be able to prevent this from happening again by giving him some just before you go to bed. Also, ask the vet if Nutri-Cal or some other product is available to you. Corn syrup also works well for blood sugar. He also needs to eat some protein after getting something for his blood sugar. He can't go on just the dextrose or any other kind of sugar solution alone.
He is very small but he has made it this far. Chances are good that he can get over this hump but he will need close monitoring. You may find you have to get up in the middle of the night to give him a small dose of dextrose or whatever you're using and a small meal with it. He is too small and weak now to let him go all night with nothing on his belly.
