I hold my Yorkie everytime I open the door. I don't trust him at all. I have enough trouble with him getting away from me in the house. I'm not sure I could catch him outside. He runs faster than I can.

And - even in the middle of the day if I'm expecting company - I keep my front door locked so that I have to open it to let people in. This helps keep other people from accidently letting him out.

I'm doing my best!!!!!

PS: I have only had my Yorkie during the winter - so we haven't had too much outside experience yet.
