This happend to Poppy a couple of weeks ago.
I went out in the car and left her with my dad, he said she was just sitting by his feet on the floor and yelped really loud. He picked her up but couldnt find anything wrong with her.. there was no blood and she didnt mind you touching her anywhere (including her feet) so he couldnt understand what had happend. She was really clingy for about an hour after I came home, so I was sitting with her on my knee and stroking her chest when I felt something hard.. It was her nail.
There must have been a little tat in her chest and she must have gotten it stuck in there and ripped it off.
I got it out and there was no blood, but this is the strangest thing... I checked all of her feet to see which claw was missing and they were all there :/
