I think it all depends on the type of coat your yorkie has. Some have curlie, fine coats. I keep mine in a puppy coat since he hates to be brushed. My other little girl has a straight, fine coat although not silky. I keep her a little longer. Just remember...it also depends on how often you are willing to groom your baby. The longer the coat, the more brushing is required.
