another couple of reasons they're not used, at least the cornrow type that you're talking about, is that in order to put them in so that they'll stay more than 30 seconds you have to pull them pretty tight which can break the hair and it's a little painful. In addition, if the hair is braided when it's damp or if it gets damp while braided, once you take the braids out you've got curly hair. a true show coat is supposed to fall straight and flat, no curls. Now I have seen a few in show coat who braid the topknot behind the bow and it looks great. |
