My Papillon, Spicy, won't stop climbing over baby gates and about 4 months ago she pulled her nail off climbing. Vet. said to put peroxide on it a few times a day. It's growing back now. My deceased Chihuahua lost a nail when she went into convulsions at 3 1/2 months old when she got a puppy shot, so they put her in a cage and let her flop, (the idiots) and the nail never grew back right. It looked like a stump.
