Default Behavior following a concussion...

On December 25th Mija jumped out of my mothers arms and fell on her head. She passed out immediately from the concussion. We rushed her to the hospital and when she arrived her heartbeat was really slow and she was barely breathing, her tongue was also very swollen. The vet quickly put her in an oxygen tank, and gave her an injection to prevent water in her lungs and medicine to prevent inflammation. The x-rays showed nothing was brocken and she did not have any internal damage. She quickly stabalized but they kept her overnight in the intensive care unit. They let us take her home the following afternoon to give her a chance to eat and rest in a familiar environment. She was doing a lot better compared to the previous night but her walk was wobbly and tongue really swollen and has a hematoma underneath. Each day we see improvement and we are so thankful that she was saved; we thought we had lost her. Although she is doing better, we see many differences in her behavior. She rarley ever barks and when she does its not the same as when she did before. She used to be a cryer and now she never does and when she does try its like if she isn't able to get a sound out. She doesn't want to be held or hugged and won't give us any 'kisses'. She doesn't get excited by anything and just lays in her bed staring at her surroundings. I was wondering if anyone had been through something similar and would know if her behavior is normal after a traumatic event. I know it has only been a week, but i'm worried about her.

I also noticed her ears were very warm tonight and they are usually cool, does anyone know what the cause of this could be? My vet is closed tonight so I was not able to contact them...
