I did not realize you would intentionally breed a dog with that much waviness to their hair. Would you breed this one too? Is a straight coat something that is not important with the parti dogs? I might have misunderstood, I thought that all of the standards except
color were still followed for partis? The standard says,
"Coat
Quality, texture and quantity of coat are of prime importance. Hair is glossy, fine and silky in texture. Coat on the body is moderately long and perfectly straight (
not wavy). "
Which standards do you follow when deciding which of your dogs should be bred? I pretty much know what to look for in a standard yorkie to know if they are breeding quality (especially after having to decide to spay my first girl), but I am not sure with the partis. Better to ask, than to take it for granted.
