It can happen too, if there's any kind of injury (by that I mean anything from topical flea tx to actual skin damage) to a specific area, the hair comes in darker but then will fade...

I notice it more in the winter months bc they're not outside as much in the sun, which I believe facilitates the fading process...
This area had pure white hair, but now as it grows, the ends are not white. This started in the summer, so I don't think it has anything to do with the sun. She has never had any flea stuff or anything.
