Did the vet give instructions to you on the dextrose? Can you call him today to ask? Or call an Emergency Vet Hospital with your questions.
About the eyes, you can use a warm damp facecloth to wash the eyes.
Make sure to keep him warm, he is likely not able to regulate his body temperature very well.
Check to make sure he is drinking enough. Look at color of his gums should be pink and moist. Not dry and pale.
