hello all. i'm new here so please forgive me if i am asking a 'common' question.

i am looking for a yorkie for my family for Christmas. we live in a very rural area in south carolina and yorkies are very hard to find around here. i did, however, run across one this week that is only 30 miles away. the guy has had her for 4 months. he said that she would not sell due to her short hair. he guarantees her health but says that her hair will not get any longer than 3 inches. this is perfectly fine with us but should i be concerned?

he sold the other puppies for $900 but is going to give her to us for $450. that also is great for us because i am on disability and we are on a fixed budget.

i think finding this dog is a blessing but i want advice from others who know more than i about yorkies.
