She's too young to be having pups. She is baby herself. I'm glad that you are taking the advice offered here and doing what is best for your girl and getting her spayed.

I'd like to back up what another poster said, for you and for anyone else that may come to this thread looking for advice on the same issue. I'm sure your vet is very good and is the best in your area, but he's like a primary care doctor. Humans don't go to their primary care doctor if they are pregnant. They go to the gynecologist and then once they have a baby, the baby goes to a pediatrician. They go to specialists because it is a specific condition that requires extra study in school. Therefore, generally for breeding advice for a specific breed of dog your vet may not know what is best, as say maybe a yorkie breeder who has dedicated their lives to one breed would. Does that make sense?

Again thank you for being open minded and doing what is best for your girl.
