That depends where you are- most of the time when I use a carrier- mine need to be totally inside and zipped up because either I am sneaking them in
shhh... or on some form of transportation like the train or airplane and then they need to be totally enclosed. But most likely your dog will not stretch out in a bag of any kind- they will curl up in a little ball and use as little of the bag as possible
