Reputable breeder keep their puppies a minimum of 12 weeks per the YTCA, longer if they are tiny. Two pounds is the general rule of thumb. The risk of hypoglycemia is very high with puppies that tiny.

If you hold them until 16 weeks, you can also get a bile acids test done before they go to their new homes.
