That is very odd, I've read that a few times it seems about the S&C. Jackson didn't have a weight problem when he was on the bag of S&C's, but I'm also not feeding it full-time (I only do about 3-4x per week for breakfast, dinner meals are Orijen/Acana kibble and wet food still). So that could be why I did not notice anything....
