She has a really light colored silver at her roots, so I have avoided having them trim her main coat at all yet as I am clinging to her dark coat for as long as I can. They have just trimmed the essential areas to date.

I am one of those that actually loves the puppy cut. I keep my older Yorkie in that. If I get that cut on Zoey, will it look just as stringy but short or would it help fluff her up some do you think? LOL Just crossing my fingers there is a bit less stringy coat lurking underneath. I'll love her the same regardless though.

Thanks
She may have a really slow growing silk, and at 7months old her adult coat will not be in yet. Maybe you can have the groomer trim 1/4-1/2 inch all around and see how the coat looks then.
