If your mom is thinking of getting a puppy, this could be a very bad situation. The bichon will probably terrorize the little one, and could even cause pysical harm if left unsupervised for even a moment. I would suggest your mom adopt an adult yorkie if she has her heart set on the breed, and introduce the newcomer very slowly and in ultra-supervised situations.

Otherwise, it's possible your mom should remain a one-dog person.
