the main reason is that it causes itching and if they have any skin allergies, it makes it ten times worse. I have gone thru this with my poodle. BUT< silly little thing nearly starved to death when I switched her food so I had to get her back on the Little Bites. She ate a cup and a half soon as I set it down to her. Now, she takes allergy medicine which works for awhile. She is scratching herself and pulling her fur out for the past week so I think we are going to have to go back to the vet for an allergy shot. There is not much good nutrition in corn. I live in the country and people round here use corn to fatten their animals up for market. That tells you a lot.
