What a sad post.
I can't imagine. Rosie is the first baby that I have gotten that didn't come from a shelter. When I go to the shelter, something is going to come home with me. My last dog to adopt is my Great Pyrenees mix. He was on death row so I took him home. He is one of the best dogs we have owned. And let me tell you something, you better not try to hurt one of my kids or he will be on you faster than anything you have ever seen!!! Every cat, with the exception of one that was left on my porch, came from the shelter too. I wish I could take them all. I couldn't do the job. I know someone has to but I just couldn't handle it.
