Hello Melinda,
I just moved to Yonkers not to long ago(2 yrs) and I love it over here; though my roots are in Queens. To address your questions, I know of a vet right up the block from my apartment. I believe its called Animal county hospital. I used them for my Yorkie. No problems here. They are a little pricey though. I believe an initial vet check up is around 68 bucks just to be seen by the doctor. Other than that, they are really nice and will answer any questions or concerns you have. There is a groomer, I have never used them but I always go by there and see so many people bring their dogs in. Its a grooming place right up the block from the vet ( there's a Dunkin Donuts on the corner of the block its on). I don't remember the name of it sorry but, if you ask the vet I am sure they will know the exact name of it. Hope this helps. Good luck with your puppy. It is so exciting.... Take care.
